Great Tythe Barn Tetbury – Sophie & Richard’s Winter Wedding
When you think of winter weddings in the UK you hope for a sprinkling of snow and icicles dangling from the eaves of roof but in reality it’s more likely to be wet, windy, cloudy and disappointingly gloomy! Well gloomy skies certainly weren’t present for Sophie and Richard’s ceremony at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury!
The only give away from the photos that their wedding was shot in deepest depths of winter were a few pics of Sophie borrowing a suit jacket to keep the chill off her arms during the group shots…oh, and a Christmas tree gives the game away too! Admittedly, there was a shower in the morning but that disappeared quickly enough and we were left with a beautiful day to work with.
I actually met up with Sophie and Richard earlier in the year for the pre-shoot up on the Malvern Hills. Such a fab couple, really great fun to be with…and they loved to cuddle which made my job so much easier!
An absolutely gorgeous ceremony, possibly one of the most moving bridal entrances I’ve ever seen with their choir singing a wonderfully unique rendition of ‘I would walk 500 miles’ as Sophie walked through the door. Even I was close to shedding a tear or two!!
Here are a few pics from their big day in the Cotswolds!
