The Swan at Bibury Wedding Photos – Clare & Eden’s Cotswold Winter Wedding
For the second week on the trot, the weather forecast gave me the impression my trip to the Swan at Bibury would be my first ever 100% soggy wedding. For the second week on the trot the weather forecasters got it wrong and as you can see from the very first picture in the set, Clare and Eden were able to enjoy a super sunny winter wedding!
It’s not difficult to see why they picked Bibury for the big day. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I first did a reccy of the hotel when I visited the village last winter on a gloomy, damp and generally miserable day…somehow the hotel and it’s grounds still looked stunning even on a grotty day. It looked an absolute picture on their wedding day; the autumnal colours were still in the leaves and the sun was lighting up the building with a gorgeous orange haze.
It was a completely chilled out bridal prep session with Clare, Jodie and Laura in the Whistling cottage….although we had a few tears when the gifts started arriving! Little Joshua then came bounding through the door; what a cool dude he is! Honestly, he was a photographers dream and couldn’t stop smiling and chuckling at the camera whenever he saw me!
It was a really lovely ceremony, Eden doing a grand job holding back the tears! Clare was just beaming all the way through the vows, in fact I struggled to find a photo of her where she wasn’t grinning from ear to ear throughout the whole day!
One other thing I loved about their day; a wicked taste of music in the evening! Classic house music at a wedding always gets a thumbs up from me, just a shame I was working otherwise I would have busted my late 90’s dance moves on the floor…which to be honest probably wouldn’t have been a pretty sight fifteen years since they were last let loose in public 😉
An awesome bride and groom, a fantastic venue, a beautiful wintery day, even a scuffle during the bouquet toss = an absolutely cracking wedding!
