Barn At Berkeley Wedding Photography – Heidi and Pedge
From the moment I met Heidi and Pedge I knew their wedding was going to be something special, and I was right! I mean, there aren’t going to be many weddings where I shoot the guests throwing themselves off a 20 foot drop slide!
The day started at Pedge’s mums house in Cheltenham where everyone was super chilled out; the photo highlight of the morning was Debra carefully spoon feeding Heidi a yoghurt whilst Rodney wrapped kitchen around her to protect the dress! A few pics in the garden and I was off to the Barn At Berkeley to meet Pedge and the boys.
Now I felt awful when I admitted to Jo (the amazing wedding co-ordinator) that I’d never actually heard of this venue until Heidi and Pedge told me about it. I have no idea why I’ve not heard about it because it is fantastic! A wonderfully large and naturally lit barn hosts the ceremony and the equally spacious function hall provides us pesky photographers with plenty of room and sunlight to work with.
Heidi is from Zimbabwe, so there was a lovely sprinkling of African elements to the wedding. Wonderfully colourful centerpieces and a traditional barbecue that looked, smelt and tasted amazing!
The whole day was topped off perfectly when Heidi and Pedge announced to the guests that they also had use of the neighbouring Cattle Country Adventure Park for the big kids to play in! It’s not everyday I can say I photographed a bride and groom having a race down a slide!
An awesome day; I was truly honoured to have been asked to capture it all on camera for this fab couple!
If you are getting married at the Barn at Berkeley and would like me to cover the photography for your big day, drop me a message via my contact page to arrange a chat! It would be great to hear from you!
